Embrace Scar Minimizer

Embrace is a sheet of clear medical grade silicone placed over an existing scar, or over an area with an incision, to minimize scarring and improve the scar’s appearance. Embrace relieves tension on the scar while keeping the edges contracted and closer together. It also relieves normal stresses on the scar when the body moves and it keeps the scar hydrated. Embrace comes in a box of 3 and each bandage 7-10 days. Embrace is applied and left in place until the edges start lifting or it is worn for ten days. It is removed at night and a new bandage is placed the following day.

Embrace is safe for all skin types and conditions. It is safe to use at any age and even while pregnant of breastfeeding.

Embrace bandages cost between $40-$150 dollars per box depending on the size of the bandage and the wound being treated. Two to three boxes are needed for the 60-day course of treatment.

A sixty day treatment course is recommended. The results of Embrace are most significant when it is used as directed after suture removal. Embrace improves the appearance of old scars but it cannot completely remove a scar.
