Cosmetic surgery dreams of Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer is a multi-talented celebrity known for her acting, hosting, and singing abilities. She is also known for being outspoken about her appearance and one of the main topics she has discussed over the years involves adult acne and her desire to find a cure for it through multiple medical treatments.

Keke Palmer and the Battle Against Adult Acne

Keke Palmer Acne BattleBack in 2020, Palmer opened up to the public about her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis as well as the adult acne that appeared due to the condition. At the time, Palmer said, “My acne has been so bad that people in my field offered to pay for me to get it fixed. I tried EVERYTHING. I did Accutane TWICE. People say drink water, have a better diet, but I did all that. I ate all the ‘right’ things, my blood tests were fine. But it took ME taking a personal look into my family that has a history of diabetes and obesity, to understand what was ACTUALLY happening with me.

Flash forward to 2022 as Keke Palmer posted a video on social media where she addressed looking for solutions to her skin issues while also calling out plastic surgeons (in a playful manner) for not having the cure she was looking for when it came to her adult acne issues.

In the video, Palmer said, “Good morning y’all. I was just thinking about the fact that plastic surgeons are amazing. They can give you a boob job, above the muscle, under the muscle, liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL. They can even implant muscles. I mean the list goes on, but they CANNOT figure out how to clear up somebody’s skin? Are you kidding me?”

Keke Palmer went on to share the fact that she is “tired” and “done” with feeling the way adult acne makes her skin look on a regular basis. After listing all of the plastic surgery procedures mentioned above, and also acknowledging the years of research and innovations on the part of the plastic surgery community, she admitted to being surprised that plastic surgeons have not been able to develop a method to take the “beautiful skin from [her] ass and put it on [her] face.”

The plea for a solution continued in her Instagram caption where she wrote, “Give us the plastic surgery we’re begging for. And make it possible for Black skin as well…I need the dual love.” Palmer added that the task of clearing up acne on the face of adults is what doctors need to be focusing on rather than worrying about “finding the perfect diet” or “expensive facials” that can generate a large amount of money.

Even though her tone in the video was playful, Palmer made sure to let the public know that she was serious about her request. “I’ll put my house on the market to pay, whatever it takes…”

Adult Acne Scars – Cosmetic Surgery Solutions

Besides the formation of acne on the face of adult patients, there are many adults who also have acne scars that can make them have a lesser self-image. When it comes to the treatment of adult acne, there are multiple solutions that are currently available to the public. These treatments can give acne scars a reduced look or they can completely eliminate the look of acne scarring on the face.

The type of acne scar treatment that is the best choice for a patient depends on the extent and severity of the scars, the type of scars, and the current condition of the skin where the scarring is located on the body. The treatment options to treat acne scars include dermabrasion, fillers, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, fat transfer, and injections of steroids. The acne scars can appear at any age since adults also deal with the appearance of acne. Adult acne scar patients include any person who is not happy with the appearance of acne scars on their body and a person who wants to make an improvement in the appearance of the scars.

The type of results the patient can expect to see depends on the treatment that is performed as well as the type of acne being treated and the extent of the procedure. There might be a need for multiple treatments in order to either achieve the desired final results or to maintain the appearance provided by an earlier treatment. In addition, the length of the results depends on the patient following the post-treatment instructions provided by the doctor in order to prevent new acne forming on the skin.

While Keke Palmer does not appear to be looking for a solution to acne scarring, she is still concerned about the continuing issues of adult acne in her life. Since she is often on both TV and movie screens, the desire to eliminate the issue of adult acne is an important one for her as she is often in the public eye.
