Rapper Pepa sues doctor for botched butt job

Sandra Denton, better known as Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa, is suing a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon over operations that were performed on her backside. Denton claims that Dr. David Sayah pushed her to have three operations performed on her buttocks in order to address issues related to a 2018 car crash. Denton is suing the doctor for negligence and disfiguring her body.

Pepa’s Botched Booty Backstory

The 54-year-old Denton says the car crash resulted in her suffering from physical discomfort as it shifted the butt implants located in her backside.

After the car crash happened, Pepa made the decision to have the biopolymer injections in her buttocks taken completely out of her body. In order to achieve the removal of her buttock implants, Denton decided to use the services of Dr. Sayah based on a referral that occurred in September 2019.

Per the legal filing by Denton and her lawyers, Dr. Sayah convinced her that returning to the look of her pre-surgery buttocks would end up upsetting her. Instead, Pepa says that the doctor convinced her to get smaller butt implants instead of going with a look that did not have any buttock implants at all.

Denton also says that the liposuction that was performed by the doctor as part of the procedure was a failure. In addition, Denton claims she had to have even more work done on her body in order to fix the effects of the liposuction.

She also claims that Dr. Sayah performed three operations on her and that the second operation caused knots and hardening in her booty.

Denton says this surgery, which she claims was performed under pressure from the doctor, resulted in her concert appearances becoming an ongoing struggle for her to perform.

Pepa Sues over Her Buttock Implants Surgeries

According to Denton’s legal filing, she claims that there is a possibility that she will never fully recover from the physical after-effects of the work performed by Dr. Sayah. She also says that the surgeries were performed so poorly that she will likely need to have further work performed on her body in the future.

According to Denton, she has continued to experience pain in her buttocks even after the final surgery that was performed by the doctor. After consulting with another doctor, she learned that an MRI showed a “large amount of biopolymer silicone and dead scar tissue remaining”.

The start of all of her medical troubles was an accident that involved an Uber. Denton is suing the driver as well as Uber (the rideshare company itself) and three other drivers that were said to be involved in the crash that has been described as a “chain reaction crash”.

Butt Implants Explained

Butt implants are placed in the buttock area in order to enhance and augment the size and shape of the backside of a patient. The implants are made from FDA-approved, semi-solid medical grade silicone. Incisions are made in the buttock crease which is where the back of the thigh meets the buttocks cheeks. The butt implants are placed in the incisions so they can be placed above or below the muscle. Once the buttock implants are placed and the incisions are closed, a compression garment is placed on the area that was treated in order to help maintain any swelling after the surgery.

While butt implants are a popular method to achieve a bigger booty, butt augmentation can be performed using a variety of methods including fillers and BBL (Brazilian butt lift). Cosmetic Town TV covers all of the butt augmentation methods patients need to know in order to make the right choice to attain their desired goals:

Butt Implants Recovery and Results

Patients can expect to see some swelling and bruising for several months after the procedure. Even though there will be some results that are visible immediately after the surgery, the swelling and bruising will hide some of the results until these conditions resolve on their own.

The final results are long-lasting and will be maintained as long as the patient stays at a stable weight. The size and shape of the butt can change due to weight loss and gain as well as the aging process and gravity. For these reasons, patients can expect to possibly need a follow-up procedure at some point in the future.

Butt Implants – First Steps

Patients that are interested in having buttock implants placed in their backside need to make sure they are an ideal candidate for the procedure. A consultation appointment with a board-certified doctor can ensure the patient is healthy enough to receive butt implants as well as make sure butt implants are the ideal butt augmentation technique to achieve the desired results. The doctor will also discuss the type of results desired by the patient. It is important to set realistic expectations so the patient will know what to expect and will not be surprised or disappointed by the final results.
