Realty TV has made stars out of the people featured on the shows which means anyone from realtors to pawn shop employees to alligator hunters have become television stars. The genre of reality television has also brought former celebrities back into the spotlight and that includes Kyle Richards who is one of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Richards started her career as a child actor in the 1970s with various roles throughout the rest of her life. These days she is best known for her role on the Bravo TV series as well as an unintended reveal about her personal life last month.
Kyle Richards was a guest on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen: After Show last month and the interview was going okay until Cohen asked an unexpected question. Cohen, who is also a producer of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, accidently reveled a recent plastic surgery procedure Richards had performed on her body.
Not long after the start of the show, Cohen asked, “How’s the breast reduction surgery working out?”
Richards replied with, “Thanks for letting everybody know Andy. Thank you…I’m just gonna say this, I never told anybody.”
Once he realized his mistake, Cohen made sure to apologize multiple times for sharing the secret on television. Richards said she was still recovering from the surgery and had no regrets about having the procedure.
She told Cohen, “I never had implants. I had double D’s, no implants. I still don’t have implants but I went in and I said, ‘I want smaller boobs. I don’t ever want to wear a bra in my life again.’ And here I am.”
Even through the television reveal was unexpected, Richards took it in stride and tried to be a good sport about the incident. She told Cohen, “I can’t wait to share more things with you tomorrow.”
Breast reduction, which is also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure that is performed to reduce the size of the breasts through the removal of excess tissue, fat, and skin from the underside of the breasts.
The surgery is a popular choice for women who have breasts that are naturally large or those who have very large breast implants. Women with overly large breasts can experience a good amount of physical pain due to the strain that is placed on their neck, back, and shoulders from the weight of the breasts. Plus, breasts that are heavy and large in size can cause poor posture and limited wardrobe choices. There are also some women who want smaller breasts because they feel self-conscious about the appearance of their large breasts.
In addition, there are some women with large breast implants that are not happy with their size or shape anymore, so they decide to have the breast implants removed.
For anyone who is interested in learning more about breast reduction surgery, check out the 411 about the procedure from Cosmetic Town TV as well as the information discussed below:
The surgeon will administer anesthesia before making an incision that begins at the pigmented area around the nipple (AKA the areola) and continues down the body to the underside of the breast.
The surgeon then removes fatty tissue and skin to reduce the size of the breasts. The doctor might leave the nipple in its natural location, or the nipple will need to be repositioned.
The reduction of breasts that were enhanced by breast implants can be accomplished by completely removing them from the body or removing them and then replacing them with breast implants of a smaller size.
After the surgery, the breasts will be wrapped with gauze bandages and drainage tubes might be used to get rid of excess fluid still in the body after the procedure.
It can take about a week before the patient can wear a bra again. The initial bra will be a special soft bra, worn for several weeks, which protects and heals the breasts.
It can take several months for any swelling after the surgery to resolve on its own.
Patients who are looking to reduce the size of the breasts will enjoy being able to view the results almost immediately after the surgery. The final results can provide a dramatic difference in the size, shape, and weight of the breasts. In addition, the person who had breast reduction surgery will experience a change in their daily life thanks to the smaller size and shape of the breasts. Someone who suffered from ongoing pain because of the large size of their breasts will feel relief in their back, shoulders, and neck instead of the constant discomfort that resulted from having larger breasts. There might even be a need to buy new clothes that better fit the body of the patient once the breasts experience a reduction in size.
