SkinTyte is a treatment based on the principle of selective thermolysis. The Skintyte handpiece is positioned gently on the skin's surface to deliver light energy in a sequence of rapid, gentle pulses as it's glided across the skin's surface. The energy triggers the body's natural healing process. It also stimulates the production of collagen which results in rejuvenation of the skin.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals who want to improve skin texture and smoothness, plump the skin, reduce and soften fine lines and wrinkles around the lips, mouth and eyes, increase jawline definition, improve jowls, create a more youthful looking face, neck and upper chest, improve skin laxity on the abdomen, thighs, arms, knees and buttocks or reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. Patients that have an infection or medical condition in the area to be treated are not good candidates.

The typical cost ranges from $500-$2000. The final cost depends on the area to be treated, surgical facility fees and the geographic location of the procedure.

The procedure rejuvenates and revitalizes the skin. Patients may experience some mild redness in the treated area shortly after the procedure. It is recommended for patients to use a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 after the treatment. For the best results, 3-6 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart are needed. The results last for a period of 2-3 years.
