SAFELipo

SAFELipo is a body contouring process that enhances liposuction surgery. It is a 3-step procedure that works by separating unwanted fat cells and removing them with minimal damage to blood vessels and the skin. The procedure combines elements of liposuction, fat shifting and fat grafting.  Power-assisted liposuction separates the pockets of fat from the surrounding tissue through rapid vibrations of the liposuction wand. Next, the fat cells are gently removed leaving the blood vessels and tissues intact. In the final step, the thin layer of fat left behind is evened out using fat equalization probes to provide smooth, toned and natural-looking results.

SAFELipo is ideal for healthy candidates undergoing body contouring for the first time as well as for those who have undergone liposuction in the past and were dissatisfied with their results. It is not a suitable treatment for patients looking for a weight loss process. Ideal candidates should have realistic expectations regarding the procedure, have good skin quality and be generally healthy and physically active. Patients that have a history of extreme allergies, medical conditions, or heart problems are not good candidates.

The cost for SAFELipo procedure ranges from $3500-$10,500. The final cost depends on anesthesia fees, the surgeon’s level of expertise and the geographic location of the procedure.

The procedure gives toned, smooth and firm looking skin and a full recovery should be expected within four to six weeks. The new contours will continue to refine over the next several months. There could be slight swelling, soreness and bruising after the procedure that will resolve within three weeks. The results can last a lifetime as long as a good diet and a healthy lifestyle are maintained.
