ResurFX

ResurFX fractional laser treatment is a non-ablative skin resurfacing procedure. The ResurFX handpiece is moved across the areas being treated while delivering laser energy. This causes a prickling or warm sensation to be felt. It also stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. Stimulating new collagen production is the key to more radiant, youthful looking skin. A cooling technology is applied to provide a comfortable session.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals who want to treat fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, discoloration, acne, acne scars, freckles and sun spots. The procedure is also suitable for patients who want to improve the tone and texture of the skin. Patients who have open sores on the area of treatment or bleeding disorders are not good candidates for the treatment.

The typical cost for a ResurFX procedure ranges from $700-$2000. The final cost depends on the number of treatments performed, the severity of the condition being treated and the geographic location of the procedure.

The procedure rejuvenates the skin and restores radiance. Patients may experience mild redness, swelling and a sensation similar to sunburn after the treatment. For the best results, a series of 3-6 treatments is needed. Initial results can be seen shortly after the procedure and continue to improve for 2-3 months. Final results last for 2-3 years depending on how well the aftercare routine is followed.
