LipoZap

LipoZap is a non-invasive body fat reduction treatment that combines injections with a massage, infrared heat and radiofrequency wave therapy to target and eliminate fat cells. The procedure involves the use of a VelaSmooth anti-cellulite machine which uses infrared heat and radiofrequency (RF) waves. The device is used to massage the skin and the heat and RF waves break down the fat cells under the skin. The "fat-dissolving drug" phosphatidylcholine is also administered to patients during the procedure. Four sessions of the procedure is usually required for the results to be fully evident.

Ideal candidates want to eliminate excess fat cells in the body. Patients that are under 18 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding are not good candidates. Patients that are suffering from allergies to soy products or benzoyl alcohol or have active eczema, open sores, lesions or skin infections are also not good candidates.

The typical cost for a LipoZap procedure ranges from $1200- $3400.The final cost depends on any doctor or facility fees, the geographic location of the procedure and if other procedures are performed at the same time.

The procedure eliminates excess fat to give a firmer and slimmer body. There may be some slight redness, itching, swelling, pain and mild bruising in the treatment area shortly after the procedure. These all resolve within a few weeks. Though initial results can be seen immediately, it takes a few weeks for the maximum results to become evident. The results are long-lasting as long as a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
