Isolaz

Isolaz is a laser treatment and vacuum that is used to clear pores and improve the appearance of acne. The Isolaz laser cleans, disinfects and removes the debris that clogs pores and causes pimples and also clears blackheads and oils and the laser energy kills the bacteria in the skin. The treatment is FDA-approved and the vacuum either entirely removes the debris stuck in the pores or it brings the debris closer to the surface of the skin for the doctor to remove. Isolaz not only cleans the skin but it also removes the underlying cause of pimples and prevents further breakouts.

Isolaz laser can be used on all skin types and on all areas of the body. This laser can treat acne that has not responded to other treatments including antibiotics and creams. The laser treatment can be used in combination with other medications and treatments for acne (with the exception of Accutane).

The cost depends on the size of the area being treated and the training and expertise of the provider. Each session generally costs between $250-$400 dollars and multiple sessions may be needed.

There can be some redness in the treated area immediately after the procedure. The doctor will recommend a skincare regimen to maintain the results after the procedure. Results are seen within a week of the session but multiple sessions might be needed to achieve the maximum benefits.
