Intracel

Intracel is a skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling with RF energy. The Intracel handpiece is gently moved across the surface of the areas to be treated. The device has tiny insulated needles that penetrate deep into the dermis and heat the tissue for microseconds while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected. The heat generated by the needles in the sub-dermal tissue promotes collagen restructuring for skin rejuvenation.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals suffering from skin laxity, stretch marks, acne scars, fine lines, mild to moderate folds, wrinkles and acne. Patients suffering from discoloration are also good candidates.

The typical cost ranges from $1000-$2000.The final cost depends on surgical facility fees, the surgeon’s level of expertise and the geographic location of the procedure.

There could be some slight redness, swelling and itching after the treatment. Tiny scabs from the microneedles form between 2-5 days and heal within a week or two. In most patients, the skin is fully healed in about two weeks. For the best results, 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are needed. Full results become evident in about 3-6 months. The results can last for 12-18 months.
