Coolaser

Coolaser is a non-invasive laser treatment that can be used on most skin tones. The procedure begins with the use of a special device to cool the treatment area then a series of light pulses are flashed on the surface of the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the skin cells and stimulates cell repair and collagen growth. It also causes the removal of the superficial cell as only 10-millionth of an inch of tissue is removed. The light pulse only reaches the area that needs treatment. Once the damaged skin is removed, the regrowth of new skin will take place quickly. The procedure takes 10-20 minutes.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals who wants to treat facial lines, wrinkles, sun damage, stretch marks, skin pigmentation and acne scarring. In order to avoid skin discoloration candidates should avoid aspirin, alcohol and tanning beds four to six weeks prior to the treatment. Patients that are pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic to heat or cold or suffer from any medical conditions that impair the healing process are not ideal candidates.

The typical cost for Coolaser ranges from $2000-$6000.The final cost depends on the surgeon’s level of expertise, the geographic location of the procedure and if other procedures are performed at the same time.

The procedure rejuvenates and refreshes the overall appearance of the skin. Patients are able to return to work one to five days after the treatment. There could be slight discomfort, swelling, itching and redness of the treated area that fades within two weeks. Patients should drink plenty of water to keep the body hydrated. The results will become evident in 4 to 6 weeks. To ensure maximum and long lasting results, regular treatments are recommended.
