Active FX - Fractional Laser

Active FX is a carbon dioxide laser that directs a laser beam at the skin. This causes the outer layer of the skin to peel off so the body can regenerate a new layer.  The regenerated skin is toned, firmer and more youthful in appearance. This treatment reduces the appearance of discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles. It also stimulates the production of collagen. Active FX laser applies the laser beam in a specific pattern over the treated area to produce the desired results.

Good candidates are those with signs of aging and people looking to rejuvenate their skin with laser skin resurfacing while enjoying minimal downtime. Active FX can be done on both males and females and on a variety of skin types.

The cost depend on the size of the area being treated and the amount of work that needs to be performed. In general, the cost ranges from $1500–$3000.

After the treatment, the skin will feel dry and pink and begin to flake off. This will last for a few days to one week. Results will be seen as the new skin is revealed. The skin will be noticeably tighter with improved tone and texture. As time goes on, collagen will be stimulated and the skin will tighten and look younger and healthier. The results can last for several years of the patient takes good care of the skin that has been treated.
