VelaShape

VelaShape is a non-invasive body contouring treatment for circumferential and cellulite reduction. It is a combination of suction, massage, radiofrequency energy and infrared light. The VelaShape handpiece is applied directly to the surface of the skin in the area to be treated. Mechanical rollers on the handpiece massage and smooth the skin while also sending infrared radiofrequency into the skin to warm-up the underlying tissue. This causes the fat cells to melt and break up. The fat is then naturally flushed out of the body.

Ideal candidates want to reduce or eliminate fat cells. It is also suitable for patients who want a reduction in circumference, improvement in cellulite appearance and enhanced body contour. It is not a suitable treatment for patients looking for a weight loss treatment. People who are best suited for VelaShape have a body mass index of 30 or less.

The typical cost ranges from $200-$600 per session. The final cost depends on the size of the area being treated, surgical facility fees and the geographic location of the procedure.

The procedure shapes the body and reduces cellulite. There could be some slight redness, swelling and bruising.  Patients should avoid physically exerting activities for a couple of days. For the best results, a series of at least 3 sessions is needed. The results are not permanent so touch-up treatments are needed every few months.
