Pixel Laser

Pixel laser is a fractional ablative skin resurfacing treatment used to treat aging and sun damaged skin. The pixel laser device is moved gently across the surface of the skin while emitting an intense beam of light energy onto the skin to remove part of the top layer of skin. It leaves the surrounding skin cells intact to serve as a reservoir for rapid healing. The body stimulates new collagen formation to smooth and tightens the skin. New collagen production continues for 6 months after the procedure.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals who want to treat skin conditions like wrinkles, age spots, fine lines and sun-damaged skin. Patients with active acne, skin infections, cold sores, have an autoimmune disease or a weak immune system or have the tendency to form scars are not good candidates.

The typical cost ranges from $800-$2000.The final cost depends on the size of the area being treated, the surgeon’s level of expertise, the geographic location of the procedure and if other procedures are performed at the same time.

After the treatment, there could be slight swelling, redness, irritation, itching and tenderness which resolve in a few days. A thick ointment is applied to the treated area to protect the skin and an airtight and watertight dressing is used to cover the treated areas. Patients should avoid exposure to sunlight after the procedure. Two weeks after the procedure, new skin begins to form. The final results last for a period of 1-3 years.

Halo hybrid fractional laser is a skin laser that delivers ablative and non-ablative wavelengths of laser energy at the same time. Ablative lasers, like CO2 and Erbium, vaporize the outer skin layers to effectively resurface and rejuvenate the skin. Non-ablative technologies like Fraxel laser...
