Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser

Halo hybrid fractional laser is a skin resurfacing and rejuvenating treatment that uses a combination of ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. The procedure begins with the application of a topical numbing ointment on the skin to reduce discomfort. The treatment area is cleaned and the eyes are protected with safety shields. The Halo handpiece is rolled over the skin to treat different sections of the skin one at a time. One laser targets the top layer while the other targets the bottom layer. The treatments can be customized depending on the level of skin correction needed. Throughout the procedure, an integrated cooling feature helps patients remain comfortable.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals with visible signs of aging, sun damage, discoloration, enlarged pores and uneven skin tone. The best candidates are patients in their 30s or older but younger patients can have the procedure. Patients who have used Accutane in the past year or who have cold sores or open sores on the area of treatment are not good candidates. Patients must be off Accutane or one of its generic forms for at least 6 months to a year before the procedure.

The typical cost for Halo laser procedure ranges from $1500-$3000.The final cost varies any extra fees charged by the medical facility, the surgeon’s level of expertise and the geographic location of the procedure.

The procedure rejuvenates the skin and restores radiance. Immediately after the procedure, the patient will look red and flaky and the treated area will feel heated for one to two hours. Some patients may experience swelling or puffiness after the treatment. Between days two and three, the skin should begin to peel as the healing process progresses. The recovery process should be almost complete by the fifth day. The results continue to improve over the course of the next two to three months. The final results can last for many years but are subject to the natural aging of the body.
