Bellafill

Bellafill is collagen filler injected under the skin to plump and smooth imperfections such as wrinkles, smile lines and acne scars. It is composed of collagen as well as PMMA microspheres. Collagen is a protein found in the skin that provides an elastic and youthful appearance. Injections of collagen produce immediate results but these results diminish over time when the body breaks down the collagen. PMMA microspheres are tiny beads that serve as a scaffolding for the collagen that your body naturally creates.

Bellafill can be used on both male and female patients above age 21 and on all types of skin. Most patients are excellent candidates for Bellafill. Patients need to inform the doctor of any allergies they have to lidocaine and animal products. Before using Bellafill, the doctor will give a skin test to see if the patient has a reaction to Bellafill.

The price of Bellafill depends on how many syringes of Bellafill are needed and how many treatments are performed. A syringe of Bellafill costs in the range of $1000-$1200.

Right after getting Bellafill injections, patients will notice increased volume and smooth skin. Temporary side effects include swelling, redness, bumps, itching or discoloration. These are temporary and will go away in 1 to 7 days. Bellafill produces immediate and long lasting results that can last up to 5 years.
