Discover the many Plastic Surgery Secrets of Kris Jenner

One person that has emerged as a true force in the entertainment industry in the 2000s is Kris Jenner. She is a successful businesswoman, a manager and a reality TV star. She is also someone that is not afraid to share her plastic surgery procedures with the public. She is very open about the treatments she has undergone in the past as well as follow-up procedures to maintain her results.

Cosmetic Town TV recently took a close look at the evolution of her look over the years:

A Facelift for Kris

A facelift tightens the skin on the face that sags or has become loose as a person has aged. It can also help eliminate fine lines and wrinkles on the face. There are multiple types of facelift techniques that can be performed on a patient. The type of facelift performed depends on the results desired by the patient as well as the condition of the skin prior to the facelift. Some of the most popular facelift options include:

  • Traditional Full Facelift – A facelift that is typically performed to address severe signs of aging such as cheeks that sag, lines around the mouth, excess fat and skin that cause jowls, the area below the eyes and any fullness found under the chin. The surgeon will make an incision along the temple as well as around the ears and down towards the neck.
  • Lower Facelift – A facelift technique that only impacts the bottom third of the face. It is a good option for patients that want to eliminate deep nasolabial folds, get rid of jowls and enhance the appearance of the jaw. The incision is made along the ears and the hairline.
  • Mid Facelift – This facelift procedure addresses tissue around the cheeks and below the eyes. The incisions are made much like a full facelift but the tissues are dissected a bit deeper in order to lift the muscles that are normally untouched during a full facelift. This technique is also often combined with fat grafting or facial implants to augment the cheekbones.
  • Mini Facelift – A technique that uses shorter incisions to achieve the desired results on the lower cheeks, neck and jaw. The incisions are made behind the ears and along the hairline to lift the muscles into a better position and remove any excess fat and skin that create mild signs of aging.

On average, patients will see some swelling for one to three weeks after any of the above facelift procedures. The results of a facelift can last for up to ten years. However, the face will continue to age and the effects of gravity will continue to pull down the skin. In order to maintain the results, patients will need to have a follow-up treatment at some point in the future.

Botox and Fillers

Kris has also been a fan of Botox and fillers to maintain her youthful appearance.

Fillers lessen the look of lines and creases on the face and they also restore the appearance of fullness and volume in the lips. They are made of a number of substances but one of the most popular is hyaluronic acid which is a substance that naturally occurs in the skin. Poly-L-lactic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite are also used to create fillers. Depending on the type, and amount, of filler used by the patient, the results can last for 6-18 months.

Botox lessens the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and gives a smooth appearance to the patient by limiting the amount of muscle contractions that occur near the area where the Botox is injected. In general, the results of Botox last for four to six months.

Buccal Fat Pad Removal

Buccal fat pad removal is where a surgeon removes part of the buccal fat pad (an area of fat in the posterior area of the cheeks near the molars in the mouth) to reduce the look of prominent cheeks and give a better contour to the area. A small incision is made on the inside lining of the cheeks above the second upper molar at the back of the mouth. The incision then moves towards the gums. The main cheek muscle is exposed and the buccal fat pad is removed through the incision.

There will be some swelling for a few weeks and it takes about three months to see the final results. The results of buccal fat pad removal are permanent as long as the patient maintains a stable weight.

Earlobe Reduction

Earlobe reduction surgery addresses issues with earlobes that are overly long from aging, torn, irregularly shaped or stretched out due to a big hole in them from studs or gauges.

The earlobes can be reshaped and reduced by removing skin from the bottom of the ear or removing a pie shaped wedge of tissue. The results are permanent and provide a balanced and contoured appearance to the ears.
