Learn if Kelly Ripa had Rhinoplasty or Veneers in the Past

Kelly Ripa is well-known to morning TV viewers as one of the hosts of “Live with Kelly and Ryan”. She is a popular talk show guest and appears in TV commercials. She was also a soap opera star before becoming a talk show host. Because of the number of years she has been on TV, it is only natural that her look has evolved over the years.

Flashback Friday Causes Controversy

Last month, she posted a now-and-then photo for Flashback Friday on social media. The picture was a photo of Ripa and her husband in 1995 along with a photo of them in 2009.

The caption for the photos read “Double #fbf 1995 vs 2009 before I discovered that I needed a stylist and had a GOOD side.”

When celebrities post photos showing how their look has evolved over the years, they usually experience comments from others suggesting the celebrities had some form of plastic surgery to achieve their current appearance.

Kelly Fights Back

After viewing the photos of Kelly and her husband, one commenter said “And a new nose. Bless ur heart honey baby poor thing.

Ripa was quick to reply with “Same nose. Good side, bad side plus makeup. After a second person suggested that Ripa got veneers at some point, Kelly wrote “I’m gonna tell you right now. No nose job and no veneers. I wouldn’t be sleeping in a retainer every night if I had. You guys do know how to make a girl feel special.”

Her husband, actor Mark Consuelos, was quick to come to her defense. He wrote “I can attest…Same nose. No veneers…and fierce retainer.”

Previous Kelly Cosmetic Surgery Gossip

Her post on social media is not the first time Ripa has been suspected of undergoing some form of cosmetic surgery. Many celebrity watchers have speculated on the suspected changes in the appearance of her nose in the past. They have noted the changes in the overall look of her nose by pointing to the fact that she has a refined dorsum (AKA the bridge of the nose) as well as a more refined tip.

In addition to the speculation about possible rhinoplasty, Ripa has also been suspected of having Botox injections in the past. Some medical professionals have discussed her lack of wrinkles and lines in the forehead as a sign that she is using Botox to maintain a youthful appearance.

Ripa Gets Real about Botox

There really shouldn’t be too much speculation about Kelly and Botox because she has admitted to using it in the past.

Her husband posted a photo of her sitting on a pumpkin last year and her fans commented on her youthful look. Ripa thanked her fans for “saying such nice things” and went on to say “I just got Botox on Friday and you just can’t beat fresh Bo.”

Her fans loved her honesty and wrote replies on social media including:

  • “I just love how you keep things real. If only there were others like you.”
  • “So true about the fresh Bo!”
  • “LOVE your honesty! But you sure don’t need the Bo.”

This is not the first time Ripa has shared her use of Botox with her fans. In 2016, she discussed a bad Botox experience on her show. The Botox injections left her unable to smile for six months.

Ripa was talking about the “good and bad” sides of her face and how the Botox injections left her with “two bad sides”.  During the six months of not being able to smile, she said many people were curious what was wrong with her and why she wasn’t smiling as much as in the past. Her answer was the fact that she was smiling but nobody could tell that she was actually smiling.

Before her bad experience, Kelly had been very open about her use of Botox and that Botox had changed her life by cutting her time getting ready to go out in half. She was always careful never to say whether or not other people should have the treatment. She did say that the key to having Botox treatments was that patients need to be aware of their appearance and to take a minimalist approach to having the injections.
