General anesthesia for full face lift?

I am in my 60s and considering getting a full face lift. I do not do very well under general anesthesia and I wanted to know if it would be possible to do this procedure without or what my options are.

Types of anesthesia for facelifts

A full face lift is most often performed under general anesthesia. Todays medications and techniques make it more tolerable then in the past. However, it can also be performed under IV sedation. You can discuss this option with your physician during your consultation. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Dr. D.
