Silk Peel

Silk peel diamond microdermabrasion rejuvenates the skin through the use of a closed-loop vacuum system that exfoliates the skin thanks to the Silk peel diamond treatment head. The device polishes off any dead or dry parts of the stratum corneum (top layer of the skin) and leaves fresh skin that is more hydrated and youthful looking. The patient lies on a table and a wand, connected to a machine, has a solution running through its handle. The skin is exfoliated using the diamond bit and the solution washes through the area to dust it off and rinse it at the same time.

Ideal candidates for Silk peel diamond microdermabrasion are patients of any age including people with dry skin that is beginning to look dull. In addition, patients that are prone to acne outbreaks such as blackheads, comedones and whiteheads can get relief with this treatment as it keeps the pores from getting too clogged.

The cost of the treatment generally runs between $100 and $200 per session. The final cost depends on any fees charged by the doctor or the facility, the area of the country where it is performed and if any additional procedures are performed at the same time.

The results of Silk peel diamond microdermabrasion are seen the next day. The final results last anywhere from two to four weeks. Follow-up treatments to maintain the rejuvenated and hydrated skin can be done once a month if desired by the patient.
