NuFace

NuFace makes use of a portable and powerful microcurrent facial toning device for facial stimulation. It uses soft wave technology in order to improve facial contour, skin tone and reduce wrinkles. The procedure begins with the cleansing of any oils and impurities. The device is turned on until all the blue lights are illuminated (this is the optimal microcurrent setting). Then, a NuFace gel primer is applied in a mask-like layer on the section to be treated. The device is used to lift the skin by gently gliding it across the surface of various sections of the face including the jaw, jowls, cheeks, forehead and brows.

Ideal candidates want to maintain or gain a youthful appearance. Individuals who have lines, wrinkles, folds or slack skin on their face, neck, thighs or buttocks are good candidates. Patients that have a history of extreme allergies or have an infection in the site to be treated are not good candidates. Ideal candidates should be above the age of 18.

The typical cost for NuFace ranges from $250-$500 depending on any pre-existing medical conditions that slow down the process and the doctor’s level of expertise.

The procedure creates a youthful look. There could be slight numbness, tenderness or tingling of the treated area after the procedure. These all cease within 24 hours. Initial results after a single treatment are evident immediately and can last for 24-72 hours. For long lasting results, the procedure should be done 5 times a week for 60 days. When the desired results are achieved, treatments can be reduced to twice a week for maintenance of the lift and the tone.
