Juvederm

Juvederm is a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid which is a natural substance found in the human body. It is injected into patients to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles and age lines by adding volume to plump the skin. Juvederm can be injected into any area of the face including the mouth, forehead and nose to contour the face and improve the appearance of lines and scars. It can also be used to enhance the shape and size of the lips. The entire process takes about 15 minutes. The doctor numbs the area to be treated before injecting a needle into the designated area. The amount used depends on the results desired by the patient.

Juvederm is a good option for patients that are not happy with the appearance of their face thanks to the aging process. These patients want to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and also add volume and fill-in the appearance of wrinkles and creases in the facial features. It is not recommended for patients that are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The cost of Juvederm varies by the amount of product in the syringe as well as the number of syringes used to achieve the desired results. In general, Juvederm costs around $600-$750 per treatment.

Patients can return to work immediately after receiving the injections. While Juvederm provides a more contoured and youthful appearance for patients, the results are not permanent. The results can last anywhere from six to nine months. In order to prolong the results, patients are advised to wear sunscreen and avoid unnecessary exposure to heat and cold for a few weeks after the treatment.
