Nordlys Hybrid System


The Nordlys Hybrid System is a revolutionary technology that uses light energy to target a wide variety of skin conditions such as intense pulsed light for hair removal, photofacials for skin discoloration issues, infrared laser for large vessels and a fractionated laser for acne, scars and skin aging. The system targets specific pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body’s natural chemicals including melanin in the pigmented areas and hemoglobin in the red blood cells. These pigments utilize the light energy and convert it to heat that destroys imperfections without damaging healthy surrounding tissue.

Ideal candidates want to treat sun damage, sunspots, age spots, surgical scarring and wrinkles. The procedure is also suitable for patients who want to diffuse redness and pigmentation from acne and rosacea or treat facial veins and vascular lesions.

The typical cost ranges from $1000-$5000. The final cost depends on the severity of the condition being treated, the surgeon’s level of expertise and the geographic location of the procedure.

 After the procedure, there could be some slight redness, swelling or soreness. These all dissipate within 1-3 days. Pigmented areas will become darker after 3 days and will slowly slough off over the first 10 days after treatment. Patients should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight after the procedure.
