Snap-On Smile

Snap-On Smile makes use of a custom-designed arch to fit directly over the teeth in order to conceal a diverse range of cosmetic concerns. Dental impressions of the patient are taken to make sure the arch is a perfect fit. Next, various shades and styles are reviewed to pick a virtually identical match to the patient's natural teeth. Next, the records will be sent to a proprietary lab where Snap-On Smile is fabricated in about 3 weeks. Once it is created, the arch is placed on the patient's teeth.

Ideal candidates are healthy individuals suffering from cracked or chipped teeth, dental erosion, irregularly sized or shaped teeth, gaps between the teeth, misalignment, missing teeth or stains that do not respond to whitening. The treatment is suitable for patients with missing teeth who aren't good candidates for a traditional bridge or dental implants. Patients suffering from gum diseases or unhealthy oral tissues are not good candidates.

The typical cost ranges from $1000-$3500. Factors that can influence the final cost include whether a full or partial arch is used, the surgeon's level of expertise and the geographic location of the procedure.

There is no recovery time required and minimal irritation and discomfort is experienced. Patients are advised to maintain proper oral hygiene because food and bacteria can become trapped under the prosthetic. Snap-On Smile should be treated with a specific cleaning solution which will be given to the patient. The arch should be removed at night. With proper care, Snap-On Smile can last from 3-5 years.
