Pelleve

Pelleve is a noninvasive treatment that uses radiofrequency heat energy to treat fine lines and wrinkles. The deep layers of the skin are heated by radiofrequency heat energy that goes all the way down to the dermal layer. This breaks down the existing collagen in the skin and makes it possible for the body to grow new collagen that fills and soften wrinkles and lines on the surface of the skin.

Ideal candidates want to treat wrinkles, spots, sun damage, visible signs of aging, discoloration, acne scars, enlarged pores or uneven skin tone. Patients that have a pacemaker, defibrillator implant or autoimmune diseases are not suitable candidates for the procedure.

The typical cost ranges from $500-$1500.The final cost varies due to the extent of the treatment, how many treatments are performed, the surgeon’s level of expertise and the geographic location of the procedure.

There could be some slight tenderness, redness and itching after the procedure. These all dissipate within a few days. Patients can resume their daily activities a day after the procedure though patients should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight shortly after the procedure. Initial results can be seen shortly after the procedure and will continue to improve over the next 2-3 months. The final results last for 6-12 months.
