Non Invasive Lipo

Noninvasive lipo, also known as non-surgical liposuction, uses laser energy, ultrasound, radiofrequency or cryolipolysis to reduce fat cells. The device is applied directly to the treated area to liquefy fat cells for natural elimination. Noninvasive lipo only targets fat cells in the treatment area while leaving the skin and underlying structures unharmed. The degree of fat loss is subtle but is gradually noticed by others. Noninvasive lipo costs less than traditional lipo, requires no incisions and has fewer risks and little to no recovery time. Noninvasive lipo offers the added benefit of tissue tightening for a more contoured outcome.

Ideal candidates for noninvasive lipo include male or female patients with some excess fat on the abdomen, thighs, flanks and hips as well as patients in good health with firm, elastic skin. In addition, candidates include patients who are near their ideal body weight but have fat pockets resistant to diet and exercise. An ideal candidate is also any patient who does not want, or need, a more extensive body contouring procedure.

The cost of non-surgical liposuction varies according to the type of liposuction performed, how many areas are being treated and the size of the treatment area. Furthermore, most patients need multiple treatment sessions to obtain their overall goal. The cost of laser, ultrasonic and radiofrequency liposuction is anywhere from $2000 to $4500. CoolSculpting is a type of cryolipolysis and can cost $1000-1250 per session. Cryolipolysis treatments are typically an hour long but areas, such as the thighs, might need 2 hours to treat these larger areas.

Since this type of liposuction is noninvasive, there are less potential side effects. Discomfort is little to none and may result in a dull ache as the body adapts to the liquefying of the fat cells. Patients may have some redness, in the treatment area, for a few hours but this should quickly resolve. All normal activities can resume immediately after non-surgical liposuction. Results are gradual as the body naturally eliminates the damaged cells through the urine. Patients can see a noticeable decrease in fat bulges within two to four months. Results should be long-lasting provided the patient maintains a proper diet and exercise routine.
