Natrelle Breast Implants

Natrelle implants come in a range of volumes and widths so surgeons can find the size that best fits the patient's body type and expectations. The procedure is done by placing textured or smooth implants behind breast tissue or under the chest muscle. Smooth implants are used in the majority of breast augmentation surgeries and the implants are able to move after they are implanted. Textured implants have a rough outer surface that prevents the implant from moving freely. After the implant has been placed, the incision is carefully closed. Patients can choose to have saline or silicone based breast implants placed during surgery.

Ideal candidates for breast augmentation should be a non-smoker, free from bleeding tendencies and infections and free from cancerous and pre-cancerous tissues. The procedure is not ideal for pregnant or breastfeeding women. In order to be eligible to undergo the procedure, the patient must be 22 years of age or older. However, saline breast implants can be placed in women beginning at the age of 18.

The typical cost for Natrelle breast implants range from $4100 - $9250. The final cost depends on any doctor or facility fees, any necessary medical tests, the surgeon’s level of expertise, the geographic location of the procedure and if any other procedures are performed at the same time.

Recovery can be uncomfortable for the first 24 to 48 hours due to breast pain and fatigue. The gauze dressings applied to the breasts immediately following surgery will be removed after a few days and replaced with a special surgical bra. Stitches may be removed after 7 to 10 days. The patient should avoid bending, lifting, or straining as these can all delay healing and increase pain. All types of breast implants are subject to natural wear and tear and will eventually need to be replaced even though the average breast implants last 10-15 years.
