Lux 1540

Lux1540 is a fractional, non-ablative laser resurfacing treatment. The Lux 1540 handpiece is glided across the areas being treated to deliver hundreds of microscopic, and deep, columns of laser energy. The handpiece features an advanced built-in cooling system to keep the skin protected and make the treatment more comfortable. The laser’s deep penetrating beams stimulate collagen production in the skin and rejuvenate it from the inside.

Ideal candidates want to treat fine lines, wrinkles, freckles, brown spots, melasma and sun spots. The procedure is also suitable for patients who want to improve the tone and texture of the skin.

The typical cost ranges from $400 - $1200. The final cost depends on the number of treatments undergone by the patient, the severity of the condition being treated, any surgical facility fees and the geographic location of the procedure.

After the treatment, patients experience a mild sunburn sensation for about an hour. There may also be swelling which lasts for 2-5 days. Most patients resume daily activities after a couple of days. Patients should apply a high SPF sunscreen daily to protect the new skin from sun exposure. For the best results, 3-5 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart are needed.  The results continue to improve over the next 2-3 months. Final results can last for 2-3 years but are subject to the natural aging of the body.
