What Plastic Surgery Did Tyra Banks Admit To Having?

Posted April 03, 2018

Tyra Banks is known for being a supermodel as well as the host of America’s Got Talent and a successful businessperson. She is also a longtime advocate of empowering young women through beauty.

The 44-year-old is now coming clean about the realities of the modeling industry by admitting that her looks are not completely natural.

In her new memoir, Perfect Is Boring, Banks reveals she had rhinoplasty early in her career. According to Banks, “I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching, I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.”

Banks claims that she has not had any “age stuff” done yet (Botox, facelifts, etc.) and that she is all about fostering an open dialogue about the world of cosmetic procedures that does not judge others

She told People Magazine, “If you like your natural self, don’t worry about it. But if you feel insecure about something … I have a magic bag of beauty tricks to make you who you want to be. Permanent or temporary, I do not judge that.”

Banks also admitted that she isn't a fan of the "no makeup" look stating that people shouldn't be shamed for using beauty products if they need it.

“As a model, I needed makeup. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It leveled my playing field. Gisele, you don’t need it? I do! And we’re both modeling for Victoria’s Secret.”

Banks believes women “need to stop judging" each other for cosmetic choices.
