Change Your Nose Without Invasive Surgery - Stunning Secrets of Liquid Rhinoplasty

Liquid Rhinoplasty, a Non Surgical Rhinoplasty Procedure

Liquid rhinoplasty, which is also known as nonsurgical rhinoplasty or non-invasive rhinoplasty, is a procedure that is classified as a minimally invasive treatment. It is performed to alter and enhance the shape and contour of the nose through the injection of dermal fillers into the nose. The treatment is usually performed using fillers that are made of hyaluronic acid. Depending on the needs of the individual patient, as well as the aesthetic results the person is trying to achieve, the dermal filler can be injected at the tip of the nose or along the bridge of the nose. The filler can also be injected at the radix of the nose (the section of the nose where the nasal bones meet the frontal bone such as in-between the openings for the eye sockets in the skull of the patient). The final results can reduce the look of small bumps, give the shape of the nose a more refined look and improve the symmetry of the nose with the other facial features.

Liquid Rhinoplasty - How it Differs from Traditional Rhinoplasty

Unlike a traditional rhinoplasty that is an invasive surgical procedure, a liquid rhinoplasty procedure provides an immediate change in the appearance of the nose. In addition, the recovery time is quite minimal compared to a traditional nose job. Patients should know that the results of a liquid nose job are not permanent and will only last anywhere from six to eighteen months (depending on the amount of filler used). Additional treatments will be necessary in order to maintain the results.

Liquid Rhinoplasty - Ideal Candidates (and Not So Ideal Candidates)

A person who is considered to be an ideal candidate for the procedure includes someone that wants to make a mild to moderate improvement to the aesthetic look of the nose. These improvements can make changes to aesthetic irregularities such as a small nasal hump, asymmetry in the look of the nose or a nasal tip that droops/points downwards. It is also a good option for patients who are not sure about committing to the necessary recovery time after a surgical procedure without having a clear idea of the appearance of the final results. Liquid rhinoplasty can show a person what the nose can look like after a nose job so they can determine if they like the look of the post-surgery nose.

It is not considered to be an ideal treatment for someone who wants permanent results and/or a dramatic change to the look of the nose. Liquid rhinoplasty is also not a good solution for anyone that needs to make changes to the functionality of their nose such as improving their ability to breathe on a daily basis. The treatment is not able to make large alterations to the nose that improve issues such as a deviated septum (septoplasty), a nasal fracture, or severe aesthetic deformities. They require a more extensive surgical procedure like a surgically invasive open rhinoplasty or closed rhinoplasty.

Since liquid rhinoplasty involves the injection of dermal filler into the nose, it will add volume to the nasal region of the patient. This means the treatment is not an ideal option for someone that wants to reduce the size of their nose.

Liquid Rhinoplasty - Post-Procedure Tips

Once the procedure has been performed, a patient that wears glasses needs to avoid placing a heavy pair of glasses on the bridge of the nose. A heavy set of glasses can place enough pressure on the treated area to displace the filler that was injected into the nose. In addition, they can cause the formation of a deformed contour to the nose or an indentation on the nose.

Patients should be prepared to enjoy minimal downtime after the treatment. There are some common side effects to be aware of and they include swelling, bruising at the site of the injection and even some minor discomfort where the injection was placed. These conditions will resolve on their own within a period of about two weeks.

Patients should avoid any major exertion, movements or physical manipulation or compression of the nasal region for around a week or two after the procedure. In addition, it is important for patients to avoid exposing the treated section of the nose to intense levels of heat or cold for the first few weeks after the filler is injected.

Anyone that is interested in undergoing liquid rhinoplasty should schedule an appointment with a doctor experienced in performing the treatment. The doctor can examine the current size, shape, and condition of the nose in order to determine if the person is an ideal patient for a liquid nose job. In addition, the doctor will set realistic expectations about the type of results, and the extent of the results, that can be expected after the filler is placed in the nose. A patient that is armed with all of the necessary information about the treatment is a person that can make an educated decision about undergoing liquid rhinoplasty.
