Trends for plastic surgery for the second half of 2021

As the month of July begins, the predictions for plastic surgery trends for the second half of the year are being discussed. The stress of 2020 has started to fade and patients are looking to gain a fresh look as many of them plan to start working from their offices again. Take a look below to learn more about the plastic surgery trends that are expected in the second half of 2021.

A Desire to Gain a Rejuvenated Look

Even though many people had the intention of eating right and exercising while they were following stay at home orders, the stress of being separated from friends and loved ones was not easy on anyone. The changes seen in the appearance of the public is leading to a desire to gain a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.

From Botox and fillers that take away worry lines and wrinkles to chemical peels that get rid of dull and dead layers of skin, patients are looking to start the second half of the year with a youthful look. They want to connect with others while being happy and confident about their appearance.

There are also some reports of a renewed sense of urgency among patients when it comes to having treatments that rejuvenate the skin. As many people are heading back to the office, and other social situations they have not experienced recently, they want to gain a refreshed look sooner rather than later.

Cosmetic Treatments – More Money for Procedures

One of the “advantages” of being at home at home for an extended period of time is less money was spent in the past year on recreational activities such as travel or even going to dinner and a movie. Prior to COVID-19, there was a good chance that people had money they were saving to take a trip or make a big purchase on a luxury item. Instead, much of that money is still in the bank because of travel restrictions or some people being afraid to make a big purchase while out of work.

The newly increased amount of downtime is inspiring patients to spend money again on cosmetic treatments. The amount of money they have saved during the pandemic is being used to gain a better contour to the butt through a Brazilian butt lift, rejuvenate the appearance of the face with a facelift and even address the issue of breasts that are sagging (due to aging or pregnancy) by having a breast lift.

Patients Staying at Home Still Want Cosmetic Surgery

Even though many offices have opened again, some businesses are not expecting everyone to be in the office on a daily basis and might be allowing their employees to continue working at home.

The ability to work remotely continues to inspire the demand for plastic surgery as patients have the downtime they need to recover away from the gaze of others. They do not have to take a certain number of days off work because they are working from home and can rest and recover while still performing work tasks. Procedures such as rhinoplasty, that some people might want to keep private, are being scheduled because people working at home can simply do phone calls with their video off so they can work while also recovering in private.

Multiple Procedures are Often Requested by Patients

One of the biggest trends that plastic surgeons are seeing is the desire by patients to have multiple procedures at the same time. They are not as willing to make several trips due to lingering concerns about coronavirus. Instead, they want to make one visit to the doctor to address as many of their cosmetic procedures as possible.

Because many patients are less willing to make multiple trips to see a doctor, they are also investing in more permanent solutions to their cosmetic concerns. They would rather have a surgical procedure instead of having, for example. fillers they need to receive on a regular basis. Instead, they would rather have liposuction or a facelift in order to get results that last a long time and do not need to be performed on a continuing basis.

Patients Want to Address the Face and the Neck

The need to have meetings on Zoom on a regular basis has made people much more self-conscious about their appearance than in the past. This has resulted in a big push towards treating issues related to the face and neck. Many people are looking to gain a sharper look to the jaw and gain a tighter look to the neck since it is one of the most visible parts of the body on video calls.

Plastic Surgery Surge – Will it Continue?

Even though there is a large demand for plastic surgery procedures at the moment, many doctors are expecting to see a drop in the number of procedures performed sometime in the near future. Since more Americans are receiving vaccinations, they are expected to make use of their ability to travel to the destinations they had in mind before the shutdowns across the country.

When the public does make the decision to start living their lives like they did in the past, they will likely have a new look thanks to plastic surgery procedures that provide a youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
