Cosmetic Town Exclusive: Watch a Properly Performed Sculptra Non-Invasive Butt Lift Procedure

Posted November 15, 2018

One of the main body parts that celebrity watchers pay close attention to when it comes to female stars is the backside of the celebrity. Many females in the public eye go to great lengths to augment and enhance their booty in order to have more volume and a butt that captures the attention and imagination of the public. A very popular method used by celebrities and everyday people is a Sculptra butt lift procedure. In order to get the inside scoop on how it is performed, Cosmetic Town TV recently visited the office of Dr. Annie Chiu for a behind the scenes look at Sculptra non-invasive butt lift:

What is Sculptra Non-Invasive Butt Lift?

The first thing to know is that Sculptra is dermal filler that is approved by the FDA. While it is normally used to provide facial rejuvenation to a patient, Sculptra is also able to rejuvenate the butt and provide a non-invasive butt lift by stimulating collagen production in the area. This butt lift option is a good choice for patients that want to increase the volume of their backside without undergoing surgery or who want to have a butt lift but they don’t have enough excess fat to undergo a fat transfer procedure.

A butt lift using Sculptra is performed during multiple treatments over a series of several months. The Sculptra is directly injected into the area being treated to achieve the desired volume and lift to the area. The treatments are spaced out over 3-4 weeks and it usually takes 2-4 treatments to get the desired results. There will be some difference in the backside that is immediately noticeable but the results will continue to grow as the number of treatments continues. The treatment stimulates the production of collagen to provide more of a lift to the butt and it also provides a more refined contour and an increase in the elasticity of the area.

How Much does Sculptra Non-Invasive Butt Lift Cost?

In general, the cost is anywhere from $4000-$5500. The total cost depends on the number of treatments performed, the amount of Sculptra used by the doctor, the area of the country where it is performed and any fees charged by the doctor or the medical facility.

What Patients Need to Know About Sculptra Non-Invasive Butt Lift

Besides the questions in the video above, we also asked Annie Chiu, MD, a board-certified dermatologist, what she tells her patients in order for them to have realistic expectations about the results. Dr. Chiu told CT News, “It is important that patients understand that Sculptra injections are not a substitute for either butt implants or fat transfer.  The volume/size increases with fat transfer or implants are meant for someone who wants a very significant enhancement in size.  Sculptra injections in the buttock area provide mild augmentation and it is best utilized for shaping or lifting and contouring the buttock area.”

The recovery period finds patients experiencing bruising for one to two weeks as well as having some soreness for a few days. Overall, there is little discomfort after the treatment. Dr. Chiu says “Sculptra results typically last two years.  I do suggest that patients have smaller one year ‘touch-ups’ as maintenance for their results both to account for degradation of the product and also for continued aging changes that occur in our collagen and elastin.” Another reason patients might need to undergo additional treatments is the fact that the aging process continues and this can impact the length of the final results.

Schedule the Treatment with a Board-Certified Doctor

Sculptra non-invasive butt lift is a good option for patients that do not want to have a surgical but lift as well as those who can’t have a surgical procedure thanks to a lack of excess fat for fat grafting. If a patient decides to have a butt lift using Sculptra, the injections should be administered by a skilled doctor that has experience performing the treatment. The first step is scheduling a consultation appointment so the doctor can perform a thorough examination of the patient. The doctor will discuss the desired results with the person and determine if Sculptra is the best option to achieve the desired results.
