Celebrities who Regret Having Plastic Surgery - See the List

Posted October 06, 2021

While it certainly seems like it would be nice to be a celebrity and enjoy all kinds of fame and free stuff, one of the downsides is the pressure many stars feel to maintain a youthful look that matches the current standards of beauty. In order to keep a younger and rejuvenated look, some celebrities have undergone cosmetic surgery to maintain a youthful appearance. Unfortunately, there are also some celebrities that regret having past plastic surgery procedures they have to live with in the future.

Meet the Stars who Regret Having Plastic Surgery

- The first celebrity on the list was actually discussed earlier this week in another Cosmetic Town news article. Linda Evangelista was a supermodel in the nineties and once again in the early 2000s. She recently made headlines by claiming that a CoolSculpting procedure left her "deformed" due to a rare reaction to the treatment. Instead of reducing the fat on her body, it had the opposite effect on her and actually increased the fat cells in her body. In her lawsuit against the people that performed the treatment, she says her appearance is "permanently disfigured" and that she is depressed due to her appearance and livelihood being destroyed.

Some of Linda's supermodel friends have spoken out in support of her. Cindy Crawford said, "Linda- your strength and true essence are forever recognizable and iconic! Bravo!" Christy Turlington told her "You are loved" and Helena Christensen remarked "It would've taken immense courage and strength to write these words. I can honestly say I broke down in tears reading this."

- Another celebrity who regrets her past adventures in cosmetic surgery is Courteney Cox. The former "Friends" star is not happy with her past use of Botox and fillers. In 2017, she made the decision to have her injectables dissolved after she realized her reliance on these treatments had started to grow as she continued to age. Cox said, "Well, what would end up happening is that you go to a doctor who would say, 'You look great, but what would help is a little injection here or filler there.' So you walk out and you don't look so bad and you think, no one noticed - it's good."

"Then somebody tells you about another doctor: 'This person's amazing. They [did] this person who looks so natural.' You meet them and they say, 'You should just do this.' The next thing you know, you're layered and layered and layered. You have no idea because it's gradual until you go, "Oh s**t, this doesn't look right.'"

- Tara Reid gained fame in "American Pie" and Reid often describes how she missed out on many acting roles due to a botched liposuction procedure and boob job in the mid-2000s. The liposuction procedure left her with ripples on her stomach and breasts that were a size "C" instead of the "B cups" she requested before the surgery. She told US Weekly, "My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing. I had a hernia, this huge bump next to my belly button. As a result, I couldn't wear a bikini. I lost a lot of work." The actor later had corrective surgery on her stomach, and she is often seen in photographs that spotlight her stomach.

Heidi Montag found fame on reality TV and also became famous for having 10 cosmetic procedures in one day that range from a brow lift to rhinoplasty and Botox. Her breast augmentation procedure boosted the size of her boobs to "F cups" but she later had her breasts reduced to a size "C." She told People Magazine, "I couldn't conceptualize the weight of them in my body. They felt like bowling balls on my chest. I felt inappropriate. Guys would stare at me really creepily and felt they had the right to because I had such big boobs." She added that the doctor told her the breasts "were falling through the bottom, and I got scared. It's super dangerous."

- Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice, has talked about regretting the decision to get breast implants in the nineties. "I think I may have purchased them. I don't have them anymore. They got removed." Beckham hopes her fans will learn to embrace their bodies and added, "I should probably say, don't mess with your boobs. All those years I denied it - stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you've got."

- The business empire of Kylie Jenner began with a focus on her plump lips and their pouty look. She confessed to having her lips plumped at the age of fifteen. The plumping of her lips made them look too big for her age and also not in proportion with her other facial features. Jenner made the decision in 2018 to have some of the filler in her lips dissolved in order to gain a more natural look. At the time, she said "Well, I definitely made my lips a little too big at one point. I got excited and felt like I needed to do a lot. And then I had to go back and have it fixed, and it was a crazy process. Thank God I didn't end up on Botched."
