A 30-year-old Barbie fan from Los Angeles has spent more than $60,000 on cosmetic surgery to alter her looks to be more “doll-like” and help her self-esteem.

Ophelia Vanity says her boyfriend is supportive of her decision even though he does not plan on making changes to his appearance. He also feels that Ophelia doesn’t need to make any changes to her look.

Ophelia has undergone a number of procedures to alter her appearance including Botox, surgical and nonsurgical rhinoplasty, lip fillers, hair bleaching and surgery to make her eyes look rounder.

While her boyfriend is supportive of her plastic surgery, he does have some concerns about the possible risks of so many procedures.

Ophelia has also faced online abuse including cyberbullying and websites dedicated to hating her. However, the negative attention has not stopped her from having over 80,000 followers on Instagram.

She has been a big fan of Barbie since her childhood. In 2009, she started to have Botox to make her face free of expression to look more like Barbie. She liked the results so much that she started having additional procedures to further her attempt to look like Barbie.

Ophelia can spend up to 3 hours per day applying makeup to further look like Barbie. She does have an overactive thyroid which causes her to struggle to gain weight. While some women that try to look like Barbie go on diets, she tries to maintain a healthy weight on a daily basis.
