See why a prominent blogger got her breast implants removed

A prominent blogger is celebrating the one-year anniversary of her decision to remove her breast implants by warning other women of the possible dangers they face by having breast implants placed in their bodies. She is warning them about these dangers before they make the final decision to go under the knife.

Sia Cooper, a blogger who blogs about both fitness and motherhood to her audience of more than 1.1-million followers, recently went onto Instagram to mark the anniversary of the removal of her breast implants. According to Cooper, her breast implants caused a downward trend in her health and she is making it her mission to warn other women about the dangers associated with breast implants.

Blogger speaks Out about Breast Implants

Cooper addressed her followers in a caption to a photo that showed her holding the former breast implants. The caption read, “I cannot believe it’s been one freaking year since I removed my breast implants. Last year, I found myself on what honestly felt like the verge of death. I was 29 feeling like I was trapped in an 80 year old’s body.” She went on to talk about how many hours she slept per day because of her health as well as her hair loss and the pain she dealt with on a daily basis. In general, some of the side effects she faced thanks to her breast implants included body pain, weight gain, autoimmune symptoms, loss of energy and hair loss.

After consulting with medical professionals that were not able to give her any answers thanks to other factors such as negative blood test results, Cooper “decided to consider the two largest foreign objects inside of my body. I took a gamble and chose to remove them.”

Once Cooper had her breast implants removed, she began to see improvements in the symptoms listed above as well as her overall health. She was even able to breathe properly after seven years of breathing difficulties. It did not take her long to reach her desired weight loss goal as well gain more energy and stamina.

Blogger Breast Implant Issues – One Year Later

After a year of having no breast implants in her body, Cooper says that most of her symptoms are improved or gone altogether.

She has made it a point to warn women that they need to stay informed about the dangers of having breast implants placed in the body. Copper feels female patients should do proper research before getting breast implants as they can possibly cause breast cancer according to a report from the FDA.

Cooper stated that “cosmetic surgery is a billion [dollar] industry that preys on the insecurities of women.” She added “Removing my implants has taught me [love] myself and my body more than ever. I mean the grass isn’t always green with bigger boobs.”

Types of Breast Implants

While there are many different types of breast implants, the main difference between them is saline breast implants versus silicone breast implants. Patients need to discuss the “pros and cons” of each type of breast implant with a board-certified surgeon before making the final decision about which type of breast implants to have placed in their body,

In addition, breast implants can be round or shaped along with being textured or smooth. Women that want to have more fullness in the upper part of the breast often choose a round implant as it can turn or move with no issues since it retains its round shape. On the other hand, an implant that is shaped like a teardrop does not move as freely as round implants. Teardrop-shaped implants needs to be textured so they will not rotate from side to side and result in a malposition.

Finally, implants are available in a range of sizes as well as a range of profiles. The profile of a breast implant is what determines the amount of projection that is associated with the size of the implant. Breast implant profiles come in a moderate profile, a moderate plus profile and a high profile.

Breast Implant Removal – Schedule a Consultation Appointment

Patients that are interested in having their breast implants removed should schedule a consultation appointment with a board-certified surgeon. The surgeon will examine the breast implants as well as discuss the desired reasons for the removal of the implants. If the patient feels that the breast implants are causing some sort of illness or negative activity in the body, the doctor will perform a thorough examination to determine if the breast implants are causing the medical issue or if there is something else happening with the health of the patient. Once the final decision is made to remove the breast implants, the board-certified surgeon will perform the procedure as well as give thorough post-op instructions for the patient to follow in order to ensure a successful and healthy recovery from the surgery.
