Lala Kent gained fame in 2015 as one of the stars of the reality television series, Vanderpump Rules. Since then, she has released a cosmetic line and she has also written a memoir, Give Them Lala. To celebrate the release of the paperback version of her book, she revealed a change to her appearance achieved though plastic surgery.
The 31-year-old recently split from Randall Emmett, her ex-fiancé, after allegations surfaced about his possible cheating on Kent. In a recent podcast interview, Kent explained she decided to have breast augmentation surgery in order to celebrate her recent success.
She told the podcast host, “I want to celebrate. I’m going into surgery to have my boobies done on Friday. I’ll be down for a little bit, but the second that I’m up and at ‘em, I will be taking my new boobs out to celebrate my national bestseller book.”
Lala Kent also mentioned that she has wanted to have breast augmentation surgery for a little while. She made the decision that the months after her daughter, Ocean, was born was the ideal time for the surgery.
“When I was pregnant [with my daughter, Ocean} …they were so huge and amazing! Other moms told me, ‘That baby’s gonna suck the life out of them.’” Kent added “Everything sits a little differently after you give birth and feed your baby. So, I’m just ready to get them up there, maybe a little bigger. I’m gonna get my groove back.”
Breast augmentation is not the first time Kent had a plastic surgery procedure. In 2018, she told a magazine that she “loves” plastic surgery and admitted to having previous breast surgery along with Botox and fillers. However, she did express some regrets with the aesthetic changes made to her appearance in the past.
“So I’ve had every part of my face injected. The things I’ve decided to stop doing is the filler in the cheekbones, the Botox above the eyebrow and the lips because I just feel like I’m a walking cat-duck. It looks like a cat and a duck had a baby and that’s me,”
Kent says she will now only have filler placed in her forehead, jawline, and chin. Even though she is making cutbacks in her plastic surgery procedures, she is not judging anyone for the choices they make when it comes to their bodies. “If you like injections and you like plastic surgery, I feel like, if you feel comfortable and you feel beautiful, then do you boo.”
In general, breast augmentation, which is also known as a boob job, is a plastic surgery procedure that is performed to enhance or enlarge the size and shape of the breasts. The augmentation is sometimes accomplished by the placement of saline breast implants or silicone breast implants behind the individual breasts or below the pectoral muscle.
In addition, the enhancement of the breasts can be performed via fat transfer. This is when excess fat is harvested from another area on the body such as the abdomen or the buttocks. The fat is removed through liposuction and then it is processed and purified before it is injected into the targeted area of the breasts. Fat transfer provides a greater volume to smaller breasts and also helps to give the patient a figure that looks fuller in appearance.
Breast augmentation is an option for patients who have breasts that are fully developed but they still feel their breasts are too small in size and shape. Ideal candidates also include women who have lost some of the volume or shape of their breasts due to the aging process, pregnancy, or a large weight loss. In addition, women with breasts that are misshaped, asymmetrical or elongated in appearance are also ideal patients.
Anyone who is interested in having breast augmentation surgery needs to schedule a consultation appointment with a board-certified doctor who is experienced in providing the desired results through a variety of procedures.
The doctor will examine the body of the person to determine the current condition of the breasts and to see if the patient is an ideal candidate for breast implants or fat transfer. The type of procedure performed by the doctor will also depend on the results desired by the patient and whether or not the person wants to have breast implants placed in the body.
In addition to setting realistic expectations about the extent of the results that can be achieved, the surgeon will also make sure the patient is having breast augmentation because of their desire to makes changes to the body and not because they want to make someone else happy with the appearance of their breasts.
Once the doctor and the patient agree about the procedure and expected results, the breast augmentation procedure can be scheduled.
