30 Second Nose Job | Cosmetic Town

However, a vlogger from the Philippines has been advertising a method that she claims will give a person a nose job in 30-seconds.

Back in 2016, Raiza Contawi started advertising the Nose Lifter on YouTube. She demonstrated the device that starts with a first step of sticking a hook inside the nose. A separate tool is then utilized to adjust the shape of the nose so the person using the tool can get the desired appearance. The product description of the Nose Lifter says that it:

“can fix a variety of nasal shape problems including but not limited to: flat noses, wide and bulbous noses, hook noses, droopy noses, crooked noses, flaring nostrils, upturned noses, dorsal humps, side humps and many others.”

There are some who feel this device is too good to be true and this includes Richard Harvey, a professor and the head of rhinology at UNSW Australia in Sydney. Professor Harvey warns that the device has the potential to hinder the organ lining as well as the possibility of damaging the cartilage framework of the nose. He also says the product can dislodge during use and possibly be sucked into the back portion of the nose. This complication can cause damage that might be permanent.

The device is sold online at a price of around $40.50. While this might seem like an alternative that will save patients money and time over a traditional rhinoplasty, Harvey feels that traditional nose job methods are a much better option for patients. Harvey told https://www.news.com.au/ that:
