Sarah Hyland, an actress on “Modern Family”, took to Twitter earlier this month to speak out about a story that implied she had plastic surgery.
A story in “Life & Style” was published that speculated about possible plastic surgery work performed on Hyland. The story was similar to others published in the past where doctors analyze changes to the appearance of a celebrity and try to determine if the person had plastic surgery such as rhinoplasty or a facelift.
Hyland decided to set the record straight. She revealed she has kidney dysplasia which is a condition that impacts her weight as well as her appearance. She stated that "I have had the worst medical year of my life, and to create an article surrounding the question of if I've had plastic surgery is the MOST insulting thing. Adding insult to injury. You have NO IDEA what I have been through. And I have somewhat addressed these rumors already. People like you are the reason why young girls feel the need to alter their face. MY face has been altered by LIFE SAVING medication.”
Life & Style updated their story and removed the speculation from the doctor.
