Lip Filler Addiction Impacts Overseas Celebrities

Posted February 05, 2018

A self-confessed plastic surgery fanatic has revealed his addiction to lip fillers and Botox has left him with grotesque results.

Cyril Roux, 32, is from Toulon, France. He wanted to look like his idol Marilyn Monroe and spent over $7000 on Botox as part of his quest to look like the stunning 1950s sex symbol.

Roux is also known as the “plastic guy” and the French waiter has undergone several dramatic cosmetic procedures.

He has 1ml of filler injected into each lip on a regular basis. Cyril regularly posts pictures of his inflated lips on Instagram and clearly loves the exaggerated look. He also loves to wear red lipstick like Marilyn Monroe. He has also shared posts dedicated to Jocelyn Wildenstein, the Swiss-born American socialite known for her extensive cosmetic surgery. However, his lips are so inflated that they touch his nose. He applies cream to try and stop them from cracking

Addiction to lip fillers has become a rising problem thanks to its popularity in celebrity circles.

Last year, Malin Andersson of the dating show “Love Island”, confessed to having “lip filler addiction” and sought help after a number of botched procedures. Malin was getting filler in her lips THREE times a month and admitted her "lumpy, bumpy and awful" lips were the result of insecurities dating back to her childhood.

Her cosmetic doctor revealed that the tissue in the lips stretches because of the fillers and can get so bad that they need to be surgically removed. He eventually injected hyaluronidase with a needle to break down the original filler to give her a more natural looking lip.
