The man known as the “Human Ken Doll” has spent thousands of dollars on cosmetic procedures in the last few years in an effort to have a perfect appearance. However, Rodrigo Alves has vowed to stop having surgery after realizing more surgery will compromise his health.
He recently told a British newspaper that he is completely done with plastic surgery unless it is necessary for medical procedures. Alves has decided that having 60 surgeries, including face and neck lifts as well as the removal of 4 ribs and pectoral implants is enough. He also added that what he has done so far has taken over his life.
For the past ten years, he has gone to bed thinking about what additional plastic surgery to get and where to go in order to get the surgery. He was also determined not to repeat mistakes he made in the past such as getting gel fillers in his arm that left him paralyzed for four weeks.
Rodrigo is now dedicating his time to social causes such as the issue of gender fluidity. He also wants to raise money for those that need plastic surgery for reconstructive and medical reasons, but can’t afford it, in poor countries.
