Hot Cosmetic Procedures of 2018

For the last few years, the Kardashians have been at the forefront of fashion and style as patients have tried to copy their look. The attempt to achieve their look has often meant butt augmentation as the big booty look of the reality TV family has been in fashion since they rose to prominence on television.

However, this might not be the case for the rest of 2018. Kim Kardashian’s dermatologist, Dr. Harold Lancer, recently revealed the top plastic surgery trends for the rest of the year.

The doctor recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the latest cosmetic surgery secrets popular with the public. The list of procedures includes nose lifts, ear lobe filler and even a way to gain a happy smile.

His A-List Patients

Dr. Lancer counts Beyonce, Margot Robbie, Kim Kardashian, Chloe Moritz, Lionel Richie and Victoria Beckham as some of his celebrity clients.

During his interview, Dr. Lancer claims that he is “the only remaining dermatologist on Earth”. The reason Dr. Lancer made this statement is that he suggests most people now rely on cosmetic surgery to enhance and augment their appearance.

Dr. Lancer has his own skincare line for both men and women so he sees a lot of patients and is very aware of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures for both ladies and gentleman.

The most, and least, popular cosmetic surgery procedures

  • One procedure that has been popular in the past is butt augmentation. It is a cosmetic surgery treatment that was made very popular by the Kardashians. It now looks the big butts of Kim Kardashian and her family is going out of style. Dr. Lancer told the magazine that “the fad of a gigantic butt is out, people distorting their rear end is on its last death throes.” The doctor also remarked that people trying to get a Kardashian booty is going to come to an end in the near future.
  • A procedure that is growing in popularity is a nose lift. This cosmetic surgery has recently become more popular thanks to Meghan Markle marrying into the Royal Family. There are a large number of ladies that want to get a nose as cute as Meghan Markle. He says that “bringing up the nose with a drop of Botox at the base has been popular for the last couple of years so you don’t have that 35-year plus downturned nose.”
  • Although many patients might not be aware of this treatment option, it appears that ear lobe filler is growing in popularity. Kris Jenner has spoken out about how her ears have not been looking very good as she ages. Dr. Lancer told THR that “it’s a way to combat shrunken, flappy lobes so you can wear earrings without having them hang on the floor.”
  • Another treatment that might not be familiar to the general public is “happy smile filler”. This treatment involves “a little bit of filler at the angles of the mouth, not for the crease lines, but to bring up a happy smile.”
  • Dr. Lancer remarked that “90 percent of cosmetic procedures are now minimally invasive so people want to look a lot more natural.” He went on to say that babytox has been swapped for Botox which means that small amounts are being used to get rid of wrinkles, fine lines and crow’s feet rather than larger amounts that can result in a frozen face look. In addition, mini-liposculpting, along with injections, is now more popular than traditional liposuction.
  • The last look gaining in popularity is designed to make sure his patients have the perfect look on the red carpet. Getting the prefect red carpet cleavage means “radiofrequency micro-needling is used on the décolletage to firm the skin from the collarbone to nipples.” It should be noted that some patients decide to just go with the old school hack of using double sided tape. This old fashioned method means “when red carpet gowns are cut down to the cleavage a lot of celebs still use tape to get rid of any lines.”

It remains to be seen if any, or all, of these cosmetic surgery techniques remain popular throughout the year and into 2019.
