Andy Warhol's doctors talks about how Andy approached cosmetic surgery

Andy Warhol is known for his artwork as well as his unique viewpoint about life. One New York doctor also knew him for being tight with money and hating to get out of bed early,

While speaking at a fundraising gala for Les Couleurs, a charity that supports kids from underprivileged socioeconomic backgrounds with a focus on arts programs in Haitian orphanages,, Dr. Pamela Lipkin of New York City, recalled “Andy Warhol, who was a client in the ’80s, would call in the middle of the night and ask if he could come over to get collagen injections.” Lipkin would suggest that he stop by in the morning to get the collagen fillers. This suggestion was never met with happiness on the part of Warhol. Lipkin said “he was not pleased” by that idea.

She also said that the famous artist was not one that enjoyed spending money. In fact, he kept a diary in order to document his tax deductions. Lipkin said Andy was very tight when it came to spending money and “he would also always try to negotiate my fee for something lower.”
