Cosmetic Town TV Explores Beverly Hills Hair Transplants with Dr. Parsa Mohebi

Posted January 16, 2018

When it comes to hair restoration, many patients look to celebrities for inspiration. They also travel to the home of movie and television celebrities, Beverly Hills, to visit the same doctors as their favorite stars. One of the most prominent hair restoration specialists in Beverly Hills is Dr. Parsa Mohebi. With over a decade of experience in helping patients achieve the hairline of their dreams, Dr. Mohebi restores the hairlines of both celebrities and everyday patients.

Cosmetic Town TV recently had the chance to visit Dr. Mohebi in his hair restoration center to learn more about combating hair loss through follicular unit extraction (FUE).

Dr. Mohebi started the conversation by explaining that a hair transplant is “when we treat baldness with the patient’s own hair.” It is the act of taking hair from one part of the body (the donor area) and then the doctor “replants them or implants them in the balding area.” The FUE method is when hair grafts are individually harvested from the donor area. The advantage of individually harvesting the hair grafts is that it allows them to be removed without the surgeon leaving a linear scar on the scalp.

Dr. Mohebi also walked us through the steps involved in undergoing a hair transplant including:

  • The initial consultation
  • Making incisions to place the grafts
  • Extraction and placement of the hair grafts

As mentioned earlier, many people look to celebrities for inspiration for their hairlines. Dr. Mohebi encourages patients to bring “inspiration photos” with them so he can better visualize the type of hairline desired by the patients.

To learn more about the advantages of FUE, and to get a behind the scenes look at how it is performed, please watch the video above.
