Scheana Marie Cosmetic Surgery

Scheana Marie is a well-known realty TV star as well as an actress and model. She is currently one of the stars of the show “Vanderpump Rules” on Bravo. While her current appearance is popular among her fans, her look has evolved over the years thanks to a number of cosmetic surgery procedures. Unlike many television personalities, she has been very open about the changes in her appearance and how she has achieved her current look. She is not afraid to discuss the changes in her appearance and she is also willing to name the procedures she has undergone in order to gain her current look.

Cosmetic Town TV took an in-depth look at the changes in Marie’s appearance over the years:

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are injected into the lips to create lips that are shapelier and fuller than their previous appearance. Lip fillers vary by the substance they are made of as well as the density and longevity of the filler. They can be injected along the Cupid’s bow as well as the visible portion of the lips better known as the vermillion. They can also be injected into the philtrum which is the vertical area extending from the upper lip to the nose.

Ideal candidates include patients that want plumper lips and a better shape to the lips. Good candidates also include patients that have lips that are thin due to the aging process and those with wrinkles around the mouth.

Fillers can be classified in different categories:

  • Collagen-based lip fillers can be either human-derived collagen harvested from excess skin removed from cadavers or during surgery. There is also bovine-derived collagen that is extracted from the tissue of cows.
  • Hyaluronic acid fillers contain a substance that is naturally found in the human body. The hyaluronic acid binds with water molecules after being injected into the lips.
  • Fat transfer involves taking fat from one area of the body, via liposuction, and transferring it to the lips to provide shape and volume.

Lip fillers can be injected all at once or they can be injected slowly to ensure balance and symmetry. The filler can also be massaged by hand once it is injected to make sure no lumps or bumps are visible after the injections are completed. The length of the results depends on the amount of filler used and how quickly it is absorbed by the body. Collagen fillers last 4-6 months while hyaluronic acid fillers last 6-18 months. The results from fat transfer last can last anywhere from 6-12 months.

Botox

Botox provides a smooth appearance to the face of a patient by helping to lessen and eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox is injected into a muscle near the area to be treated and neuromuscular blockers work to limit the muscle contractions in the injected area. This allows the muscles to relax and the skin to become smooth without the appearance of unwanted fine lines and wrinkles.  It works well on areas that have a good amount of frowning and squinting such as the forehead, above the nose and the corners of the eyes.

The results become visible after a week or two once the skin is no longer pulling along with the muscle. In general, the results last around 4-6 months before a follow-up treatment is needed by the patient.

Porcelain Bridge

A dental bridge is a multiple-unit restoration that is used to address teeth that are missing from the mouth of a patient. A dental bridge literally bridges the gap that is created by a missing tooth or multiple teeth that are missing. The bridge is made of two or more crowns for the teeth located on either side of the gap caused by the missing teeth. The teeth located on the sides of the missing teeth are known as abutment teeth and a false tooth is placed in-between them. The false teeth are called pontics and they can be made of multiple materials including the porcelain used to address the missing teeth in Marie’s mouth. Dental bridges are supported by implants or natural teeth.

Dental bridges restore the smile, improve the ability to talk or chew and they prevent the teeth from drifting out of position. The results of dental bridges can be long lasting if the patient practices proper oral hygiene. In general, dental bridges can last anywhere from 10-15 years.

While these are the most current procedures she has undergone in order to gain the look that she desires, there is always the chance that she will have additional cosmetic surgery treatments in the future in order to maintain her current youthful appearance. She has been incredibly open in the past about discussing her cosmetic procedures and there is no reason to believe that will change as she continues to appear in the public eye.
