Botox Blunder for British TV Personality

Posted December 19, 2017

Amanda Holden, a judge on “Britain’s Got Talent” (BGT), recently appeared on a morning talk show in Britain to discuss her work with Save the Children. Holden had recently visited a refugee camp for children in Zaatari, Jordan, and saw some of the tragedies the children face on a daily basis.

Holden was asking viewers to wear a Christmas jumper the day of her appearance as well as donate money to the cause. However, the charity was not the main thing on the minds of viewers. Many of them were curious if Amanda had a cosmetic procedure since her eyes seemed to be very puffy.

One viewer posted on social media, "Way too much Botox and fillers!! Looks like she can barely open her eyes." Another person commented that ""Amanda's face genuinely can't move, making me cringe to watch her attempt to show emotion."

One fan did defend her on social media by saying "So lovely to see Amanda doing something good for charity, let's hope some money is made for the kids."

Amanda previously said she would never go under the knife to keep her youthful looks although she is open to noninvasive options. Earlier this year, Simon Cowell poked fun at her use of Botox on BGT. Cowell told contestant Issy Sampson he liked that she "used magic to suddenly become younger". He then pointed at Holden and said "You use Botox".

During a debate about plastic surgery, Holden said: "Everybody knows that in the past, yes, I’ve talked about having Botox. Since spending too much time in intensive care after nearly losing a baby, I’ve not gone under the knife or had any injections."
