Priscilla Presley, the former wife of Elvis Presley, is the latest celebrity to be the target of plastic surgery shaming due to a recent television appearance.
Presley, who still lives in the same Beverly Hills home she shared with Elvis, was in England on a promotional tour. The Daily Mail newspaper wrote that Presley looked “very youthful” during a recent appearance on the ITV show “Lorraine”. However, other viewers took to Twitter to attack her appearance. Presley was on the program to promote a new Elvis album as well as a holiday tour, “Christmas with Elvis and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.”
Presley wore a Ted Baker sweater that featured an oversized bow draped over her shoulder. She also wore a mini skirt with a pink rose. Despite her stylish clothing, people on Twitter discussed her face and whether or not she had plastic surgery. One person tweeted, “What has Pricilla Presley done to her face?” while another tweeted “Priscilla Presley talking to Lorraine classic example of plastic too much surgery versus a woman who looks great for her age and natural.”
Not all of the tweets were negative. One woman came to Presley's defense and said “I know she has had a lot done but Priscilla Presley looks amazing!!!”
Presley has admitted to past plastic surgery procedures that didn’t go as planned. In a 2008 interview, her spokesperson said Presley was a patient of Dr. Daniel Serrano, a plastic surgeon who promised to give her an age-defying look with “miracle injections” that were superior to Botox. Instead, Serrano used drugs that were illegally imported to inject her with “industrial, low-grade silicone similar to what’s used to lubricate auto parts.” It has been speculated that Presley had several corrective procedures following her botched surgeries with Serrano.
