Kylie Plastic Surgery Procedures – Fact or Fiction

While the member of the Jenner family that has been getting the most press coverage lately is Caitlyn Jenner, a younger member of the family is gaining attention for her rumored plastic surgery procedures.  Kylie Jenner is only 17-years-old yet she is already the subject of a variety of stories about her undergoing plastic surgery at such an early age.  The list of procedures she is said to have undergone include a nose job, a chin implant, breast augmentation and upper eyelid surgery,

While it’s not unusual for Hollywood starlets to undergo a procedure or two at some point in their lives, it is a rarity for someone to have work done at such an early age.  As one of the stars of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, Kylie is constantly in the public eye at red carpet events and other social gatherings.  Even so, what would lead a young girl to have so much work done at such an early part of her life?

According to Dr. Carole Lieberman, a psychiatrist, “The main problem for Kylie is that she’s having to compete with older sisters who’ve already made their fame and fortune from being seen as gorgeous and sexy. If Kylie had been born into a normal family, it’s unlikely she would have felt she needed to get plastic surgery at such a young age. But there is the tremendous pressure of sibling rivalry and she feels she’s competing for the love of the world.” (1) 

There is one area of her body that the teen has admitted to having some work done on in the past.  On an episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, Kylie revealed she gets temporary fillers to make her lips appear fuller.  As she explained in the episode, she has been self-conscious her whole life about her thin lips.  While she didn’t want to speak out about the procedure, she finally admitted to it after being asked about it by one of her older sisters. “It was important, there was so much attention on my lips,” she told E! News. “I wasn’t ready to tell people yet, but it makes me feel better.” (2)

So far, this is the only procedure she has publicly admitted to having performed on her body.  There have been many reports that the teen star has also undergone breast implants.  Many entertainment news shows and websites also claim Kylie’s chest is looking fuller than it has in the past. Kylie Jenner has said that her mom has signed the papers necessary for her to get new breasts but she has not had the procedure yet.  According to Jenner, “Right now people are saying I’ve had my breasts done, my whole face reconstructed. I’m not against plastic surgery, but I don’t want anything else right now.” (3)

One final area of Jenner’s body that has been the subject of much debate and speculation lately is at the bottom of her body.  There are many reports that claim she receives butt injections to match the behinds of her older sisters.  Others claim that the butt injections are done in an attempt to keep her boyfriend, the rapper Tyga, happy.  There has been no confirmation from Jenner on whether or not she has butt injections performed on a regular basis.  Another part of the speculation surrounding the butt injection procedures involve the teen having injections to fill out her thighs. While some people see her fuller body being a result of teenage weight gain, others see it as proof of Jenner undergoing procedures.

While she has only admitted to the temporary fillers, there is still endless speculation about the ever evolving look of Kylie Jenner.  The teen star was born into a family that is constantly on television, in magazines and in the news.  It’s hard to say whether any real, or imaginary, desire Jenner has to change her looks is motivated by her own wishes or by the need to maintain her Hollywood image.  Until the day that she publicly admits to having any other procedures performed, gossip magazines and the paparazzi will continue to speculate on the reasons behind the changing look of Kylie Jenner.
