Florida Teen Undergoes Penile Reduction Surgery

Posted November 06, 2015

A 17-year-old teenager in Florida has undergone the first comprehensive penis reduction surgery in history. The young man was suffering from an unusually large penis condition. His problem was not that his penis was so lengthy as much as it was “girth-y”. In fact, the length of his phallus was only 7 inches but the circumference was a whopping 10 inches. It has been described to have the shape of an American football by other doctors.

Although some people would consider this condition to be a blessing, it is really anything but for the teenager. Apparently the teenager, who remained anonymous from the media for obvious reasons, is also suffering from priapism which is a persistent and painful erection caused by abnormally shaped blood cells that block the blood vessels and cause swelling.  As a result, the boy’s penis has been left bloated and deformed. Not only was it painful and uncomfortable, the condition also made the young man’s love life more difficult. As a teenager, having a deformed penis that prevented you from being romantically intimate in the bedroom is almost like a death sentence.

Pioneering the Penis Reduction Surgery

Believe it or not, an extensive penis reduction surgery like this has never been done before in modern medicine –until now.  People are usually more concerned about increasing the size or improving the shape of their phalluses rather than reducing it. The demand for penile implants has seen an increase in recent years. Advancements in materials and surgical techniques have made the operation and results you get much more reliable. For older men with wives that are 20 years younger or more, penile implants are known to boost performance in the bedroom by creating a stiffer and bigger erection.

Although the boy is the first to get the procedure, he was certainly not the first to consider it. There are a few people who have deformed or irregularly shaped phalluses looking for a surgical reduction. Since the risks were unknown, no one was willing or brave enough to be the first guinea pig.

The Snipping

Dr. Rafael Carrion was the head surgeon who led the groundbreaking procedure. Since this was a very unique case, Dr. Carrion decided to use a similar technique already used to treat Peyrnoie’s disease. This is a condition that causes scar tissue to form along the penis and create a bent shaft that can be very painful during an erection. The surgeon explained to the Florida teenager that the operation will essentially be a tummy tuck for the penis. Dr. Carrion chose to slice along a circumcision scar to “un-wrap” the skin much like a banana and cut out the excess tissue.

Fortunately, the operation was a resounding success. The teenager spent only a few days in the hospital and was very excited about the results. The urethra was left intact and there was absolutely no loss of sensation which is probably the most important thing to any man. There is even more good news for the Florida teen. He now has a fully functioning, normally shaped penis that can achieve full erections, and is also larger and thicker than your average package.

Dr. Carrion has since done this groundbreaking procedure on other patient besides the Florida teen. However, he added that the second case was less crucial to the patient’s overall health. The patient was completely healthy but simply wanted to have a penile size reduction.

So the next time you find yourself wishing that you were “bigger,” just consider that packing a large one doesn’t always mean you will be happy or become a crowd pleaser. Sometimes, being overly well endowed can be an embarrassing and painful condition.
