Re: Density of hair

Dr. Parsa I am just curious, Do a lot of Arabic Man come to do surgery with you? Yes, we see and operate on a lot of Middle Eastern Men. The comment that James put here is accurate. Although there is a higher rate of hair loss in Middle Eastern men, they have better quality donor hair (more density...

Re: Hair Restoration FUT (strip) vs. FUE

Using FUE hair transplant vs. FUT has been a hot topic in last few years. What I generally ask my patients are: 1. Do you want to keep the option to shave your head in the future. 2. Can you afford the cost of FUE (generally costs twice as much as a strip procedure). If the answer to both is positiv...

Re: Hair Transplant without a scar

FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction has improved drastically in the last few years to the point that some believe it is as efficient as a traditional strip and the only thing that is lacking is a visible scar on the back of head. Of course FUE has two disadvantages which are its higher cost and limite...

Re: One bald spot

I agree with Rachel, Many conditions could cause balding in a patchy fashion. The most common type is an isolated crown balding in male patterned baldness. That is typical male hair loss, but other conditions such as autoimmune disorders can cause patchy hair loss anywhere on scalp. The common type ...

Ryan, It sounds like you have done your research. Yes, LLLT can help if you have diffuse hair loss in a large area of scalp. Patty,
LLLT for hair loss could be effective for general thinning that is seen in women in post menopausal period. It is good to see a hair specialist before starting that.

Re: Low Level Laser Therapy can help balding women regrow their

No problem Chris, I am glad I could help. Being anxious before hair transplant or any other procedure is pretty normal. However, you need to know, it will be a skin level procedure and is considered outpatient despite the long time that you need to be in our office during your procedure. See you soon,

Re: Low Level Laser Therapy can help balding women regrow their

Chris,

It all has to do with the level of active hair loss the individuals have. That is why I cannot give you an advice about whether or not it is a good option for you. The best is to see a good hair transplant surgeon and he/she will tell you your options.
